I just realized that I should color-correct this one. I have a whole series of shots that were taken in RAW format that I have to process before I can upload them. I also want to combine some of they to see if I can get some of that there HDR photography goin’ on. Which is why some of the shots here are so quite clearly exposure brackets from +2 to -2.5
Anyway, I thought that this icon was pretty. And I liked the stark way that it just jumped out of the wall. I wondered what things have transpired under the calm gaze of that icon. This is only about a mile from the Kremlin, and on one of the main drags that leads you right into the heart of the city. This whole place is eery in that way – like the guy that had the 200-year old parrot that from time to time would sing the campaign songs for Abe Lincoln.
